What is Kleek?

Kleek is an online community and content site where teens and tweens can play games, have fun and interact with each other. Each player starts by creating a virtual identity for herself. Players will go on to answer surveys and other community-based questions to gain points. Boutiques are located within Kleek where players can spend virtual currency shopping for new stuff to dress up their avatar with.

 

Who is Kleek for?

Kleek is designed for 10-16 year old girls, but anyone can play.

 

Why did you create Kleek?

We wanted to create an intelligent and fun community and game for girls.

 

Does it cost anything to join Kleek?

Nope, it's completely free!

 

Tell me about live chat.

Kleek is a network of live chat rooms in which girls discuss and vote on a continuous stream of survey questions. Voting results are presented in real-time (i.e. right away) so that girls can don’t have to wait to find out what the consensus is. Surveys cover frivolous topics such as “what do you like more, cereal or bagels,” and more thought-provoking subjects like “how would you handle the news that your best friend fibbed to get out of making plans with you?”
A user’s ability to chat with other players in her chat room is integral to the complete Kleek experience, however Kleek can still be played and enjoyed without participating in live chat.
While some chat room moderation does exist, we cannot monitor every conversation that takes place 24/7. To lean more about how to protect your child online please check out:

One fun and interesting feature in Kleek allows girls to submit their own questions to the game. All questions are moderated by So Near employees before they appear in the game. Any submissions we find inappropriate, unsafe, or that have already been submitted will be rejected.
